New member here with a few questions?

I bought a 2002 Chevy Prizm LSi with manual in May of 08 and have put 30k on it since then and love it. No problems other than driver side axle seal leaking. Replaced the plugs as soon as i bought it with nippo iridiums. Got 41 mpg before switching to H rated tires and driving with the flow instead of the posted limit and now i get 36 mpg.

Any suggestions on fog lights? Can i get a cabin air filter kit for it?

Any recommendations and problems on replacing gm head unit?

Recommendations for rims, found MSW type 15 from tire rack, running steels right now?

What is the button under the hazard button for, mine is not used for anything, wondering if it was an option my car didt come with?

thank you

It's personal preference really, but PIAA and HELLA make some good quality fogs. Check their websites for the styles and types they offer.

Nope. Cabin air filters were not an option for 8th gen Corollas/Prizms.

You should do some research on crutchfield, they have a system for recommendations based on your cars fitment requirements.

Recommendations are pretty much limited to your budget. What is it?

I believe it's just an empty switch, I haven't seen a Prizm with that button being used.

I'll over-simplify for his benefits.

14": Kosei K1 TS
15": Konig Helium K1 TS also available at this size and 17"

Also, Honda Fit wheels. Buff out the "H" of course.

8.5 Corollas also have that blank. It is where the defrost switch was in earlier Corolla/Prizm. Nothing else was really designed to go there anymore.

Go with Hella. PIAA makes junk that conforms to neither SAE or ECE specs, yet still is overpriced (and underbuilt). With PIAA, all you're paying for is their marketing and packaging.

Also, remember what fog lights are for. They are not "driving lights" (auxiliary high beams), they are fog lights and are designed for very low speed (15-20mph) driving in periods of heavy lower-atmosphere disturbance (intense rain, heavy snowfall, thick fog). They are not a fashion accessory (although a quality set can also look good) to be turned on all the time for the heck of it.

Crutchfield is an excellent place to look for replacement head units. Also, if you find a head unit you like, check Amazon for a lower price -- and read the customer reviews there to be sure it's "the one".
