wiper switch

I have a wiper switch that doesn't have the intermittent function and I'd like to replace it with one that has that function. Has anyone done this before? If so, is this a direct replacement or is there something else you need to do? Any DIY? Thanks! Oh I have a 99 corolla

oooohhhh nice. How much are you selling it for? Did you alread take it out of your car? If you haven't... can you take pics when you do so I can see how you take apart the steering column to get to it?

I changed my 00 CE from fixed to variable delay.

The column covers are the hardest part, screws underneath then press at the seams in middle to separate the 2 halves.

2 screws hold switch, release and remove connector. Install new switch.

$70. Details in my FS thread, linked to in my sig.

Haven't took step-by-step pics yet, but I have some fog stalk install pics that could provide some hints. Stuff to remove are the same, but you'll be looking for the other side.

I've taken the bottom half before, but not the top half. Is there anything special I need to know for taking the top part? Do I pull? lift? to get the top part out?

The 2 halves latch together near the seams, getting the latches loose without breaking them is the hard part.

I think the method suggest you push in on the bottom portion near the seam to release (still tough)

IIRC the top should come right off after they are separated.
