Nochy Gearbox

Especially when the car is cold, and really especially the first time I shift it into second and third, the gearbox is really nochy. It's like it kind of grinds as it gets into gear. Is this normal? It sounds like the synchros really don't like it. Is there anything I can do to make my shifting smoother?

change your gear oil. grease your shifter bushings. this transmission is notchy. just dont force any gears in.

Forgot to mention, I had the transmission fluid changed less than 1000 miles ago thinking it would help. If anything, it actually got worse.

How to I access the shifter bushings?
