I wouldn't bother to be honest. I used to have a short ram kit very similar to that on my 7th Gen and while it sounds cool, it actually makes performance worse since it's sucking in hot engine bay heat.

You may as well spend the money on a cold air intake by relocating the pod filter outside of the engine bay. It's simple enough to do and a lot more worthwhile than the SRI.

Either that or get the short ram intake and create a heat-shield around it, as well as routing a pipe to it that carries cold air. You'll still experience a bit of heat-soak, but it won't be anywhere near as bad as having the pod filter exposed in the engine bay.

that looks like the same one I bought at a lower price on ebay...but I modified that so instead of the filter being back by the exhaust, it goes straight down from the throttle body. I had to cut the piping some and get a right angle adapter, but it definitely sucks in the cool air.

check the vacuum line coming from it...make sure the couplers and maf are really tight so there are no vacuum leaks. if the code comes back up, go to your local autoparts store and see what the code is.
