do you want to keep the twilight feature (auto illuminate) or disable all together. i have my drl's disabled, but still have the twilight feature.

for the twilight feature to work, you need to cut a red-with-yellow-stripe wire from J2, the gray jumper block by the instrument panel fuse block. To find the right wire, unplug J2 and probe between all wires of this color. Two wires are shorted together and goes to the DRL brain. cut the one that has no continuity with any of the other red-with-yellow-stripe wires.

Don't cut. Instead, once you unplug J2 and have found the wire, take a 1mm flat screwdriver. First lift up the plug's white lock, then stick it into the hole for that wire to pry up a tiny plastic tab. With the tab lifted, pull the wire out. Tape up and secure that wire.

I have installed HID lights, so only disable the DRL, the light won't be on automatically when the parking brake is released?
Is there any option that i can do with the DRL relay to disable the it instead of the DRL brain?

Here is my answer to gdzswjj in PM. There's some useful info I thought I should share:

You could disconnect the red/blue (ignition) wire as detailed on some other DIY here, but that kills automatic headlights too as this fools the DRL relay into thinking the car's ignition is never on.

(Milky's) mod removes the DRL output, but as DRL turns on auto headlights through some other circuits, you get to keep that feature.

You can see the gray clip J2 plugs into here:

And the actual J2 here:

Read again. Gray plug to the side of the fuse panel/junction block. There is only one gray plug attached to it. That is J2.

Canada DRL disable

hey man if ur trying to disable ur DRL theres a very simple way i did the same because i installed HIDs and they were flickering on DRL mode. All u need to do is there are 3 wires going into ur HID blub from the socket one of them is DRL the other one is for headlights and the third one is neutral. U can check which one is for DRL using a multimeter. then simply cut that wire on both sides.
Hope this helps.
