Steering Wheel Shaky + balanced tires already

My 99 corolla has had this problem with the steering wheel shaking really bad when I go above 55mph, but if I go about 75 or more it doesn't shake that bad. I was recently looking throughout the forum and read somewhere to get a full balance on your tires. So I took my car to the freeway and hit the pedal and the shaking is a bit less but its still really shaky.... so at this point I don't know what the shaking could be.. any ideas????

I had this same problem after hitting a pothole. I got a front end alignment, and new rims and it fixed the problem slightly but it still pulled to one side. I finally figured out that it was a bad tire because when I rotated the front two tires, it pulled to the opposite side.
