2008 1zz-fe into a 2002

I'm a new member but just wanted to say thanks for all the great info.
Picked up a 2002 Prizm couple of weeks ago for next to nothing. This week I put in an engine from a 2008 Corolla with only 18,000 miles. I read a thread on here that confirmed it would work and of course it did. Basically changed intake and exhaust manifolds, a few sensors and motor mounts.
Hardest part was I had to start telling the salvage yards the motor was for a 2007 or listen to them explain why it wouldn't work LOL. Thanks again for the great info.

Yeah I can imagine cause I got the same looks LOL.
I also did a Saturn swap which was very similar. Should've seen the Saturn parts guy when I ordered a California EGR adapter plate. He actually asked to look under the hood and started grinning. That car is still on the road with no egine light on and passes emissions test every time.
By the way for anyone else doing the swap the passenger side mount needs to be the old one. The plate on the engine looks almost identical but is different. Don't ask how I know.
Note to self, find better lifting location before finding out that part of the mount needs to come off the block
