Broken maf sensor?

I cleaned my maf sensor with a crc cleaner and now my engine is having idle problems. I checked the maf sensor, and might of broke one of the electrical pins. I know there is two. Do i have to purchase a new maf sensor?

How? Usually, you just spray it and shake it gently and spray some more-- and don't let anything touch the parts inside.

Most likely. Unless you didn't actually break anything and just don't know what it's supposed to look like. Take some pics.

If the check engine light doesn't come on with it connected (assuming it wasn't on before) then it's probably OK (maybe).

Where to buy?

Can you tell me where you bought your MAF sensor? I am looking for one myself.

Thanks.

Was it the pins, or the sensor wires that broke? The pins are fairly tough, whereas the sensor wires are uber-fragile. When I cleaned mine, I sprayed the entire thing, and let it dry in the sun for half an hour before putting it back in the car. The whole time, I handled it like it was a piece of fragile glass.

Glad to hear you got it fixed.
