Depends on the lip design and you're interpretation of "hard". Cutting and shaping is probably involved at some level - depending on the material, either a easy or hard project to do as a DIY. Example ABS plastic is pretty easy to cut - but fiberglass can get messy quick.
Same process as people throwing Civic and Accord lips on the Corolla - you can make them fit, just have to shape/cut where necessary.
