I've sent the car to repair and change the clutch and the guy didnt connect the cabling that provides milleage and the speed.

Can u tell me guys how ca i solve this issue___??? I'll really appreciate that!!!!

Also I have another question.

I've read that this car is normal that burns oil, but its too much oil that burs can be almost 1/4 every 1000 miles.

Can u give me a hint how can i solve it as well

and the last question is that this car always has the front lights on as soon as i start the engine, can you guys provide me a hint as well how can i turn off the front lights and use them only when is dark at night not all day long!!

#1) I'd take it back to "the guy" & have him fix it.
#2) 1 quart in 1000 miles is way less expensive than the fix
#3) Why would you want to disable a safety feature?

Because that "safety feature" wastes fuel and can contribute to early headlight bulb failure, and really doesn't add that much safety.

Considering Costa Rica is only 10 degrees north of the Equator, it's not subject to the same daylight deficiencies as, say, Finland.

You're totally correct!!!!!! Here in CR is a waste of energy due is always on and I only need the lights during the night practically...

On the other hand one friend of mine and I was the guys who made the clutch repair and It seems that something is missing or not plugged correctly coz, now is showing the checl engine light on the display panel and is not working the speed and odometer...

Reason why I came here to see if somebody knows the `how to ` of this topics...

Thanks! I'm not always right, but I'm right with alarming regularity.

Follow the 1999/2000 instructions. It should work for the 2002; it worked on my 2001.

Near the airbag assembly under the passenger side of the dashboard is a box of wires and whatnot. Find connector D3, pin 23. Just back out the connector and tape it off.

There used to be a writeup with pics on it out there but it's been gone for some time.

I'll bet you will see P0500. The 3-wire vehicle speed sensor circuit from transmission to speedo is down.

First of course make sure the sensor plug is connected. That plug should be 3 wire and goes to the back of the tranny.

Next, take out your gauge cluster. 2 screws, the bezel, and another 3 screws. Flip it over, look at the blue plug. There are two adjacent wires, one violet/white, one white/blue. Now, jack up ONE of the front wheels so you can spin it by hand. Leave the other wheel on the ground. Turn key to ON, with multimeter in hand and someone spinning the jacked-up wheel, backprobe these two wires for a pulse. Expect 4 pulses between 0v and 5v per turn of the wheel.

Finally, clear the code with your scanner.
