Disabled DRL = Dead Radio

My friend has a 98 Corolla, which I installed HID's on, I followed the DIY on this website, it worked like a charm, so now it works like a regular car, it has to be turned manually on with the headlight switch.
The HID's are perfect, and everything still works except the radio. It is an aftermarket Kenwood radio, <1 year old. But it just wont turn on now.
I checked and made sure that the only wire that was cut was the red wire w/ blue stripe.
Any other suggestions? Any help is gladly appreciated.
