tinting windows and headlights

Hi guys, I am trying to tint my headlights smocked

just like this video

but is it legal to do this in CALIFORNIA??

and I want to tint the windows also,

but is it legal to tint front side windows? or is it like Must allow more than 70% of light in??

how about the back side?

no point to tint the head lights, you can paint the inside black for the black crystal look . and theres a legal tint u can go as dark as limo. 5% but 3% is darkest. and i tinted the driver and passenger with a light tint. 35% light or so.

Tint laws vary by state. Here its 35% front windows, and any darkness on the rest.

The car came with 35% all around, but I'm probably going to get the back window and rear side windows done to limo.

the reason i want to tint it is because it looks easier.
but which one looks better? tint it or paint it?
is it easy to open the headlights of 2001 corolla S??

yep. get a heat gun, a cheap ones like 10 bucks at big lots. or so. undo the tabs with the flat head , and run it around the light and pull apart. theres a screw holding the silver frame onto the lens. which is what u paint. then paint it whatever u want. gloss black, flat back. im gonna redo mine so its kinda smoked out bronzish.

do i need to take off the bumper first??
and can you take soem pics of doing it?
