Valve adjustment??

I have a 2000 with 205,000 kms on it. Have had it since new and has been very well maintained. I have noticed over the last year or so it has a slight knock in the motor that is very noticeable in cold weather and not so much when the weather is warm. It mostly goes away when the motor is fully warmed up.

Has anyone ever had to have there valves adjusted?? I know these motors are not the quietest, just wondering if that might be the cause of the sound.

Valves will usually give a "tapping" sound, not a knock. A knock is usually associated with pistons.
Check your valve clearances.
