Why does it rumble?

My '02 has a rumble in the front end. It starts when I get to about 15 mph and stops around 25 mph. I also notice the steering shakes at 65mph, but is OK at all lower speeds. I had the car in for an alignment two months ago. I turned off the engine while on a side road to see if that made a difference. It didn't. What do you think is bad? Thanks.

It could still be an alignment problem if you have hit some potholes since then.

You also could have lost a wheel weight, and your wheels are off balance.

could be two different problems, tire balance and or a bad tire.

I think you're right. After the wheel alignment I rotated the tires! The ones on the rear are older and most likely in need of a wheel balance. I'll get that done and post back the results. Thanks.

I took the car in and had the front wheels balanced. Its a bit better, but not all the way gone. I did not get in onto a highway to see how it does at 65mph.
