98 Prizm, running rough, engine light.

Hi Everyone,

It has been over a year since i have visited! That means that the car has been running great, and it has. However, the engine light on the cluster is on, and it stutters when you try to accelerate. Could some one let me know some of the typical items to eliminate first are? I could start replacing things, but what a waste of time and money.

You were able to assist last time I visited, hoping you can help out again.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, this is what was read for codes;

300, 301,302.(cylinder miss-fires) It was suggested that plugs would do the trick, possibly wires if new plugs don't solve the problem. Sound about right?

Thanks again.

Replace the plugs. Should be fine afterward. If not try the Wires next. I doubt its anything more.

Exactly. A good tune up and you'll be set. BTW, wouldnt hurt to get a fuel flush.
