This may seem to be a funny question but, does anybody else's windshield wipers NOT activate when you use your washer nozzles? because mine don't, in fact, i don't think they ever did. the wiring to the wiper stalk is fine and all the wires show continuity throughout the circuit (wiring diagram, DMM, hefty set of 1/4 in socket wrenches, and more wasted time than i care to admit helped my figure that one out).
also, who has a 'mist' function for their windshield wipers? cuz, once again i don't, but i think that was an option, cuz my sisters LE has it. (for the uninformed the 'mist' function is what allows you to make your wipers swipe once then turn off, not to be confused with the 'intermittent' funtion)

i have the fixed time intermittent wiper stalk. i ask because it seems that every late 90s model car except mine has windshield wipers that come on when you use the washer nozzles and wanted to know if anybody else noticed that

mine dose not wipe at the same time as the solvent comes out i have to turn it on Manually which i like because i can get the Window wet first before it wipes
Well my 2001 corolla le does come on at the same time when u spray the window...infact i used to have a 1995 corolla dx that it even comes on at the same time too.
Yes, my 95 Prizm LSi did it, and so does my 01 Corolla LE
What's really annoying is the Z does an extra swipe after you shut them off. It likes to be super clean apparently

Get an LE variable switch and change it out, it will give you that feature you are looking for.
I love the variable feature, hard to live without.
Like everyone mentioned - it is with the variable switch. My 2002 S doesn't automatically activate the wipers when I actuate the washer. Personally, I like that feature - in the wintertime - I can hose the windshield down and help melt the ice / snow. But I also agree that the variable intermittent function is a big plus.
aww... i like my 'douse the windshield in bug was THEN run the wiper' function. but wouldn't mind a variable intermittent function. but i'd rather keep my douse funtion. i really don't mind it, im actually rather fond of it, it's always just been a bit of a curiosity for me

I stand (sit) corrected, used it yesterday. I can do a quick spray without the wiper going, but if I hold the stalk down, it'll go after about 2 seconds of holding.
while we are on the topic, does anyone know where i can get OEM or close to it, fluid nozzles? Mine were busted when I got the car and i replaced them with those tacky LED ones but I would really like the stock ones. Down here in the south, bugs are a huge problem and I am a stickler when it comes to keeping my windshield clean and streak free.
