You have to first chain your engine on an engine hoist, then unbolt all the bolts on the bell housing to your engine. Don't get em mixed up either. The starter bolts are longer than the other bolts. After that you have to unbolt the driver-side motor mount, center cross beam motor mount, and then on the back end of that center cross beam un bolt those 2 bolts. Haynes has a step by step on how to do this. I found it a PITA to drop the tranny. My dad and I did it in about 7-8 hrs replacing the clutch. The hardest thing was to get it out, after that you'll have a good idea on what you need to modify, for instance the center cross beam has bolt holes on the back end (you'll see, cuz thats what makes it a PITA to remove). I cut those out to make it easier to put back in. The engine hoist will come in handy when you need to line the tranny back with the engine, (DUH

). Have fun and good luck. But seriously get a Haynes book, it's a life saver!! Oh and be sure to have your tranny supported by a jack. And never leave your car on just a jack,
USE JACK STANDS!!!
