Front end shimmy/vibration on braking.

My 02 has a vibration/shimmy when braking on down hill only. When going up hill and/or level there isnt any problem.
My car has 100000 miles and needs shocks, which is obvious as the ride is floaty on highway speeds. Tires are new, along with alignment. The pads rotors have 25000 miles.
Any thoughts? Ball joints/bushings/struts causing this?

The only thing I can think of is your rotors are starting to warp. Since it happens only braking. The gravity pull is stronger when you're going downhill, hence the vibration only happening when going downhil. I know someone that sells drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads for $80 a set. Let me know if you want to hit him up for a new set.

I was thinking the rotors. Havent measured them yet, but the OEM rotors lasted quite some time, 75K. I still have those. Maybe I will get them turned and put new pads on and see.
I am still doing struts too.

Its an S model, not that its much better. I will use in this order, Bilstein or KYB's. They arent cheap thats for sure for such a common platform of vehicle.
