YOU DONT HAVE TO DISABLE THE DRL!!!
I was reading up on the HID DRL. On the 9th Gen forum, there was someone on there that said to run an outside ground from your balast to a ground spot. I wish I had my camera with me to show y'all. I'll just try to explain it:
All you have to do is run a ground wire from one of your headlights, for those don't know, your headlights are on the same circut, so grounding one will do it.
Either buy some vamp splicers, or you can cut the wire and splice it old school. The black wire on coming from your plug to the balast is the ground. The red w/ black stripe is the factory plug ground. I ran a ground wire from the drivers side headlight to a ground bolt that is right under the strut mount on the inside hood area. (Don't know how else to explain it.

) Once I get my camera, I will post pics back on here for those that are having the same prob I was. Hope this helps you guys!!!
