1998 Prizm no longer burning oil/Magic?

I figured i would let you all know, I check my oil every 200 miles. And previously it would be down to about a quart left every 200.

Now, After checking my usual every 200 miles and doing my oil change today i am pleased to tell you my car barely burned a quart after 3000 miles.

What did i change:

My last oil change i switched from running cheap ass autostore brand oil to Valvoline 5w-30. Even the oil itself was cleaner after draining than last time.

Installed a mobil1 oil filter instead of FRAM<---I know, awful.

I think the two biggest things that made a difference was:

-I ran a bottle of Lucas fuel treatment through a full tank of gas.
-I also ran some of the Lucas Oil treatment through the system at my last oil change.

Some other improvements i noticed are better mpg and a quieter engine idle.

Not saying this will fix everyones problems but, $20 worth of stuff is worth a try.

Sounds like the oil treatment may have un-stuck some things! You're lucky it was that easy of a fix. Nice!
