Wanting to "pimp" my 'Rolla, any tips?

I own a 2000 Corolla that I'm wanting to turn into a Y2K Rolla.

Currently the only upgrades I've done to it are tinted windows and a performance muffler. I ordered a pair of altezza tail lights that should arrive next week. My wish list goes like this...

- replace stock rims, I think white rims would look nice on it
- A rear spoiler (probably white or red) that looks sportier than the Toyota made spoiler for my 8th g.
- replace stock speakers
- possibly have stipes painted on the side

I especially want feedback about rims, since I have never replaced stock rims before. How can buying rims that are defective or don't fit??

C'mon man, altezza tails?

Why would you even consider putting a spoiler on your car that is white or red? Your car is green. You'd be best off saving your money.

...unless your post was a joke.

15's or 16 inch rims would do you fine. a lot of people have konig heliums. your car would do better with a dark bronze i think, tint tails, hids, you can buy a m3 rear lip from ebay and you can buy a RS lip(i havce one for sale btw) and why altezzas!?!?!

Don't put altezzas on, no stripes on the car. and either an OEM spoiler, lip spoiler or nothing on the trunk. As for rims, do what others suggested. Lightweight rims in 15s or 16s like exdream suggested. sites such as tirerack and others will let you know if the rims fit. i agree with bronze rims for that color car as well. drop that sucker as well with coilovers or lowering springs.

The best suggestion is to come up with a plan.

Do plenty of research and decide what you want to do and stick to it. Do not do the job piecemeal and do not do cheap cosmetic mods; your car will look ricey.

Altezza tail lights are passe. Stay away from cheap fart-can mufflers. Loud doesn't mean fast and a "nice sound" and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee at 7-Eleven.

Doing it right will cost money. If you are not prepared to spend some serious coin, don't even bother.

Straight off my tailpipe...

Tint... check.
Rims... The lightest 14" or 15" alloys. The really light and strong ones (forged Volk CE28N) will cost you. Konig Helium at 15" is reasonably light and reasonably durable and reasonably cool. Just ask a couple of us.
Suspension... Tokico Blues and some lowering springs. I can't give recommendations here. Add a set of Hotchkis sway bars and you can whip this sucker around like there's no tomorrow. Did we mention the car will be lowered in the process?
2001 front end conversion... After getting the 2001 front end, put in the fog light.
Spoiler... Our trunk's curvature already have some "spoiling" features, so we don't really need one.
A nice stereo headunit of your choice.
A set of nice 6.5" speakers all around, mounted on wooden frame. One guy here did this and says this sound as nice as with a sub, without the added weight, power drain or cost.
Scangauge...
Optima Yellow battery...
A few stickers to express your personality and add a few hp in the process j/k
Taillights... I don't like red turn signals in the rear.

And the list goes on and on. You'll notice that some costs a lot, some are big jobs. and some have to be taken to a shop (new rims/tires, probably suspension too). So again, plan and priortize.

LOL +1

To the OP - do the rims and a STOCK spoiler, preferably same color forget the other stuff from your list.

They may be a "good deal" but so would whitewall tires for $5 each. That doesn't mean they look good.
