Hello everyone, this is my first post and I've tired searching for the answer before posting this but couldn't seem to find it. I'm looking to buy a Auto 2001 Corolla S, when I test drove it it had a loud buzzing noise from the engine at the lower RPM till 3k, after that its pretty quiet. I had the AC on while testing, if that makes a difference. Is the car suppose to sound like that? I thought the engine would be some what quiet and smooth like my 1996 Civic Ex. Also are the gas & brake pedals suppose to feel all mushy?

neither of thats normal, gas pedal may be a little on the soft side compared to your honda though. brake pedal low could be worn out brakes (commonly). how many miles? if you don't feel confident then dont buy it, buzzing could mean alot of things. the 1zzfe is a noisy engine so it could be normal noise or something abnormal.
