Which plug wires and spark plugs do you use? Did you double check the plug gap? Did you do the work or have a shop do this? Made sure that you connected the plug wires in the right order (firing order OK?) What do you mean the car sounds "funny"?

Need a bit more info.

+1 on the ngk plugs. bosch plugs suck ass for our cars. and they are gapped. 1.1mm or .044 in. if you read most spark plug codes, it will list the gap they come preset at from the factory. and all spark plugs can and need to be gapped properly. even iridium. its just harder to do so they recommend people to not gap them. but for a stock n/a vehicle the preset gap is usually fine.

I changed my plugs and wires with NGK, now the engine seems to be shaking at idle but i can't really feel it when i'm in the car is this normal for the engine to be shaking? when i give it gas its really smooth, oh and when i removed the old plugs the were covered in motor oil! is this normal?
