inner tire needs replacing??
Hi,
My mechanic jacked up the car today and shook the front two wheels by putting the hands at 9 and 3 o'clock and the wheel moves when it push with one hand and pull with the other. He says the inner tire should be replaced, parts and labor for $170. He said that if it doesn't get replaced, the tire will wear out faster.
He was pointing to the rod looking thing. (he has an accent) so I don't know if he really ment "inner tire." I googled and it seems the inner tire is part of the tire and not the rod looking thing.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
This is for the corolla 99, and has about 120,000 miles.
Thanks.
