Battery Light On

So the past couple of times I have driven my car, the battery light on the dash has come on. I didn't really think much of it until this afternoon, the daytime running lights didn't come on automatically. I had to actually turn the lights on. Also, in the mornings the light stays off, it only seems to come back on when I come back to my car in the afternoon. I just put in a new alternator less than 6 months ago and had the battery checked too (it was in working condition). Anyone have any idea what might be going on??

My neighbor had a 98 corolla and he had the same issue...u can first check your fuse (i believe it is a alternator fuse in red numbering 5) in the big fuse box by the battery.Check and see if the inside of the fuse is destroyed ( a metal line across inside the fuse, if there is space between them then its dead so replace it).
Secondly it could be the big big big electrical wire that connects to the alternator like a ground you know...it could be burn at one end or middle or anywhere. And third it could be that one plug on the right side of the alternator(opposite of the pulleys). That plug could have a pin in there that is burnt or a wire to that pin is burnt. Try playing with all those things and see if the battery light will go off.Thats what i did to my neighbors corolla by playing with the plug on the alternator because i tested for electrical current to come through there and one pin was out and the other two pins were reading at least 12 volts or so....

Correct me if i am not correct...anyone...
