Instrument cluster interchange years

Can anyone confirm if the Prizm cluster is the same 98-02? I know the Corolla changed for 01-02 but I'm not sure about the Prizm. I sold the Prizm and intend to sell the tach cluster and temp probe on Ebay but I'm hoping someone can confirm the compatibility before I list it.

Show us a high resolution pic of the back of the cluster and I should be able to tell for sure..

Physically, I think they are the same.

So what are you driving now?

My daily driver? Chevy Aveo.

I was getting sick of putting oil in the Prizm, the AC compressor tossed it's cookies, and it developed a power steering leak. I looked at a few used 9th generation Corollas but they were either too much money or neglected/dirty.

A flyer came in the local paper with a new Aveo5 for just under 9K so I bought one. Seriously underpowered compared to the 1zz, but I like it better than the 2010 Corolla I paid 18k for.

I'll snap a couple pics of the cluster tomorrow.

I have contacted my buddy that works at a salvage yard. According to his salvage interchange there are 2 different ones for the 98-02 Prizm.

One cluster fits 1998-99
The other one fits 2000-2002

Hmm...makes me wonder if the faq sticky has the wrong info for the Corolla too. It was my understanding that the cluster changes coincided with the lighting changes on the gen 8.5. If the Prizm cluster changed in 00, it makes me think the cluster is different because of the change to vvti. I guess I'll list it as only working for 98 & 99.

FAQ sticky is right for the Corolla since I'm using an 00 cluster in my 99. Prizm is probably just offset in the year. You can always just do what you said and list only 98/99 to be on the safe side. Anyone that wants it and has done their research will know if it'll work for their Prizm or not.
