coolant is rusty brown??

i got a 2001 corolla and for the past few days the car has been heating up and i filled up coolant but a few days later it turned a rusty brown color do i need a full system flush or does my HG needs to be replaced
the car is leaking oil but it if from the vvti solenoid

i can use all the help so let me know what i should do

White smoke? drain some coolant and try to shake it. Any bubbles? Others may have a better idea of what oil in coolant looks like. That's what you should be looking for.

Once you made certain that engine oil is not leaking into the cooling system and vice versa, I'd flush the system clean with tons of distilled water and fill it with new Toyota Red.

I would describe oil in coolant like coffee with some creamer in it. if you pull the valve cover its going to be painfully obvious that you have a problem and the oil is just going to look wrong, in my dads civic it looked all smeared different colors and what not. And that means blown gasket
