Can I put my engine and Manual Tranny back in from the top?

After I get my transmission and engine back together can I put them back in as 1 unit from the top?

I took the engine out sepperately from the transmission and swapped the bad engine and am in the process of putting the old manual transmission back on the new (to me) engine (which proved to difficult for me in the vehicle, so I pulled the transmission out and now have them both on my garage floor.

It looks like if I angle it, I should be able to get it back in from the top together, but I just want to make sure.

Yes you can , most people consider it an easier way to do it.
Its darn tight with the trans in allready, but it can be done.
