how to fix P0448 problem?

My 2001 Corolla check light came on for a while. Can anybody give me any tips on how to clear code P0448? many thanks !

Got to wait more than 31 minutes LOL!

Clearing the code is one thing, trying to figure out what is going on is a completely different story.

P0448 - Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Shorted

This means that one of the VSV (vacuum switching valve) connectors of the wiring leading to the valve/sensor on the vapor canister is likely damaged. Shorted to ground is the most likely culprit - but you'll have to do some diagnostic work to see what is going on. With EVAP related codes, sometimes a completely different culprit causes this malfunction to appear.

Are you sure it is a P0448 and not P0446?
