Cool Mounted my Yellow Top. Properly. Without the frame.

Bonus for finding the one fine hackery that made it work.

Are you talking about the door still/kick plate or the socket used as a space on the far side

Damn you're quick!

Door sill... So that's what it is. All I know is I found a nice straight piece of aluminum in the garage.

Well the yellow top came with a spacer frame that is clipped to the bottom to make it sized more like a regular group 35 battery as the battery itself is smaller although it is also a "group 35". Problem is even with the frame on, it's still smaller than the Energizer group 35 that I have and the factory bracket couldn't hold it firmly. I pulled some aluminum pieces from my scrap bin to pad up the gaps but they shook loose as well, probably lost somewhere in southwestern Ontario. So I decided to come up with a plan to bolt this down firmly, and while I'm at it, delete that frame that doesn't do anything but taking up space. And this is the result.

Interesting you talked about trouble. Imagine the trouble one has to go through to relocate it to the trunk.

I see... that makes sense.

How much does it weigh compared to the Energizer you had in there before?

Does it weigh more or less?

a trunk relocation is pretty easy. mine is in the trunk. took about 2-3 hours to do it. i prefer to run the 2 gauge wire thru the passenger compartment instead of under the car. i dont want to risk it eventually drooping, or getting snagged on some debris. the worst part was running the cable. and still its not hard, just time consuming.

I have extracted one ground wire along the entire length of the car; I think I can handle it. But that'll have to wait until I get a chance to turn a gutted ZZE110 VE into electric.

Where can I find a right controller that will allow me to drop these into my car? 90AH and it'll still be lighter than the Yellow Top.
