Car Wont Start After Trans Swap

I'm pretty much finished with my 3 to 4 speed swap except for a shifter issue. I tried to start the car today and its cranking and almost starts but then dies.

The only things I can think of are:

-5 month old 1/4 tank of gas
-I had to turn the crank a lot while installing the flex plate etc., maybe that did something.
-I installed a new timing chain tensioner and l think its still leaking a little oil. I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly though, because I heard it pop out when I turned the crank.

I added a gallon of gas and a little fuel stabalizer and it started after about 15 tries and reving it up to get it goin.

So if your gonna take 4 month to do a trans swap, put some stabalizer in the tank ahead of time.
