Dome light bulb brightness

So the bulb for the front dome light (where the sunroof switch is) burned out and I went to the parts store to get a replacement (brass colored base, Sylvania brand). However its not as bright as the one that came off (silver colored base). Is it safe to say that if I go to the dealer, I'll get the same bulb with the same brightness as the one that came off? The new bulb lights up fine, its just dimmer compared to the old bulb, or even the brightness of the regular dome light in the center. I use the front dome light a lot and having it bright before helped a lot.

Bulb from the dealer is brighter. And only a dollar more than the parts store price

At the dealer, they have 5w and 10w bulb. 5w is a little smaller. both will fit. 10w will be brighter (but you probably figure it out :p)
