4AGE Head to 4AFE block in Avensis '99.

Hi guys!

I wanted to get some idvise ...

I have a '99 Toyota Avensis and it has the 1600cc 4AFE motor. Last week it lost power and started running roughly. I found out that it has no compression on one cyl. I have not taken the head of yet but I think it has burnt one valve , I think it's happened because of a faulty injector.

I changed headgasket 2 years ago and inspected the whole engine and it was really good. I was thinking of gettin just a used complete head to replase this oldone because if a valve is burn then probably the valve seat will be demaged also.

Having thought many times how much better is would be to have more powerful engine I started to thing of way to make this more powerful.

After looking at way to turbocharge the engine I saw one other way after looking at the internet I was thinkin of gettin head from a 4AGE motor....

So I wanted your help...

Do you guys know how that has been working out and to you know if it will fit my car without any problems?

Will be glad to get any advise Thank you!

do a full engine swap (Block, head, Harness, ecu etc). while the headswap is ok, a full engine transfer is a much better idea and much less of a hassle.
