HID light from '09 Accord

Hey guys. A friend of mine gave me a set of 100% functional HIDs off his '09 accord. Would i be able to use these on my '98 rolla. I believe the Ballast say Thunder Lighting on it and its a 8000k type 9006 bulb.

If you're planning on just sticking the capsules in where the 9003 bulb went in your Corolla, don't. For one, the 9003 is a dual-filament bulb that performs low and high beam operation. This "9006-type" bulb is designed only for operation as a low beam. Also, the original reflector is designed to use such a dual-filament bulb, each filament of which emits light from its own center-- an arc emits the majority of its light from the electrode ends.

Also, 8000K is a horrible CCT-- you might think you're seeing better, but you're not.

Instead of that noise, just go for the Philips Xtreme Power 9003.

sell the cheapy ebay $50 kit and make the money to buy better halogen bulbs or to fund the retrofit to do HID correctly on the corolla
