turn signal bulb housing prizm vs corolla

Does anyone know if the the turn signal bulb housing (just the bulb insert, not the whole lens) on the 1999 corolla is the same as that of the 1999 prizm? If they are, does anyone know any online vendors that sell just the bulb housing?

Not sure what you are talking about? I've never heard of this, you probably have to get the entire corner light for the Prizm.

Yes, the bulb socket. I've already purchased a complete aftermarket turn signal but there's something wrong with the socket that keeps blowing my fuses.

Heh, that happens. Take it out, get a multimeter with continuity beep function and start probing away. You are looking for a short between the 3 terminals at the socket. While you're at it, take out the sockets from both old and new, see if the sockets interchange. They should. Twist counterclockwise 1/8 turn and pull straight out.
