2001 Corolla coolant

ok so i have read a few older post about the toyota red coolant, but i have a few questions to ask to clear up some things. In one post i read someone stated that the "red" was introduced around 2002/2003, so would that need to be used in my 2001? also i have read that the coolant is the same ethylene glycol based as most other green coolants, Would i be able to add green coolant to my system if it is presently using RED. And another question is would i be able to use green coolant if i planned on changing it every year, because i know the red is long life 100,000 mi coolant and to be honest my 190,000 mile engine might take another 10 yrs to hit that mark. Just a few questions if anyone has experience with this and could clear up some things for me it would be appreciated.

Why risk going with something different? Stick with what it has in it.

I know that is high, but probably worth it in the long run. Might check your local auto parts outlets too for a better price.
