Question 2001 Toyota Corolla Rear Speaker Replacement

Hi Guys,

New to the forums. I want to replace my rear speakers in my 2001 Toyota Corolla, but I don't know how. Can someone please link me to a rear speaker installation guide? I've been searching online and I couldn't find any picture tutorial and it'd be easier with picture. Thanks in advance.

Or can anybody please explain how I would even go about removing that rear panel where the speakers are underneath. Thanks.

I just had them installed at Best Buy and watched the guy do it. It's pretty easy but a little hard to show without pictures. To get to them :

-First fold you seats down. All of them in the back.

-Second you snap off the plastic part that is directly behind the door. It's a long piece that goes from the back of the door past the head rests. So snap both ends off the right side and left side.

-Third you need to take the back light cover out to be able to take the carpeted area out back there. To do this push in the middle of the plastic backing to the light. Push inwards and upwards at the same time it should pop out. Be careful of the tint if you have it tinted that you don't wreck it.

-Fourth You will see three plastic things in that back carpet area. Pull those off and you will see a nut that you need to unscrew. Do that for all three of them. Then you can take off the carpet thing and you should see your speakers and wiring.

I will add pictures in a minute to show what I am talking about in the second and third and fourth parts.

Or you can do what I did and just pay like 50$ for a guy to do it with all the tools at a best buy. They even let you stay and watch.

-This is the plastic back panel I was talking about in the second part.

-This is the rear back light to take out in part three and also this is part four where I was talking about the plastic covers to pull off and under it is a bolt to unscrew.
