What could be draing my battery

have a 99 corolla automatic, went out battery dead, had it tested done,
put a new one in, 3 days later dead, does hold a charge, put it back in.
tested the amps while running 14.8 good right. put a load on it, lights heater, radio, still good load of 14.7 that shows me the alternator is doing its job. what can it be. it is reading 12.8 with the car off, I am going for a ride today, and check the amps when I get back.. any thoughts be appreciated.

If your charging system is working right, then you have a high drain on the battery when the ignition is turned off. Turn the ignition off and disconnect the negitive battery terminal form the battery and instal an amp meter in series ( between the negitive battery terminal and the and the battery ground wire) with the battery( you can use an amp clamp too). If its higher that 200 milliamps you have a short somewhere. If you find a high current draw ,try unplugging/ disconnecting your alternator first.
