Corner light cord problem question

Hi, I apologize if this has been posted before, but I tried to do a search and couldn't find anything. I'm a car novice so pardon my lingo.

I recently came across a problem on my 2001 Corolla with the driver side left turn light. The light itself is okay, but the cord is broken. It looks like there are 2 broken cords, a white and a green. The whites I'm guessing are connected, but I don't know where the green goes. Should I try to put this cord back together, or buy new cords? If I put it back, where does the green cord go? If I buy a new cord, what is this cord called?

I want to see if I can fix it myself instead of sending to a dealer, but I couldn't find anything on the internet about this. Here is a picture of the problem:

Any help is appreciated!

Corner lamp assembly harness - you can try the dealership, but it might be worth hitting a salvage yard for something like this, be a lot cheaper.

Though you should have enough material there to cut, slide on some heat shrink tubing, strip, solder, and wrap. Looks like the white and one green are still connected in the pic, you can just make out the green under that red inline splicer. Looks to me, someone hacked the corner lamp wiring for side marker lamps and was too close to the harness. That put too much strain on the ends and weakened the wires + cut way too close to the existing green wire, making it almost impossible to restore the car back to stock condition.
