surging throttle ??
I am stumped! My car has a funny side to it when driving between 40-50mph, (well, thats the only time I notice it) spuratically when I am driving the car with my foot on the pedal with steady and constant pressure it starts to surge... very slightly but it is there. It doesn't do it long enough or strong enoughtto change the speed but it is very annoying. Espically with all the maintenance done to the car to prevent any major issues.
When driving on the hwy (65-75) I don't notice any surging but at the same time the poor motor is already screaming due to the 3-speed auto.
It's a '99 Prizm and it just rolled over 100k. No leaks or smoke but it does lose 1qt of oil about every 1000 miles or so.
