Transponder Key Question

hi, i was just wondering if the toyota corolla 2001 LE have a transponder key? because i have tried searching for it on the internet and have no luck what so ever, my car does have a transponder programmed into the corolla and that being said, is it possible to use a toyota camry key 4C as the corolla key?

are the toyota camry keys between 1997-2001 the same size key as the corolla keys between 1998-2002?

No transponder key for both. I have both in my family. I believe keys for both can be cut from the same type of blanks.

well i have a toyota camry 1999 xle and it has a transponder key 4c and i also have a toyota corolla 2001 le, the car has anti-theft / kill switch but the key i have for that car is a non transponder key.. but as i search on the internet the camry 1999 uses the same size key as corolla 2001, so im wondering if the 4c transponder chip can be programmed to work with corolla 2001

You have to match up the FCC ID number to be able to use those keys. If the numbers don't match or not in the same series - doesn't matter if the key "looks" the same, it cannot be programmed for your system.
