I have recently got a 99 corolla with a 1zz-fe, i was wondering about getting parts for it.
if i get say a celica 1zz-fe manifold will it fit on my 1zz-fe corolla engine? i no it may not fit with the components in the engine bay but will it fit to the engine?
and what about internal parts, like cams or valves....

the celica manifold will only fit 9th gen corollas as the 8th gen hood is too small and close to the engine. just stick to the bpu's (basic part upgrades) like intake, header and exhaust. as far as header goes....just port the stock one. good luck finding an ELP cold air intake......and get some Ksport coilovers.....you're also going to be hard pressed to find a whiteline RSB....so I guess the hotchkiss will have to do. and if you seriously want to upgrade the internals check out monkey wrench racing.

now why would you go and feed lies like that to the OP? come on theres been plenty of discussions on this. OP needs to do a thorough search and go from there. Heads are different but blocks are the same. Go.
That whole hood clearance issue supposedly only applies to the 1zz S/C and the 2zz IM (not that it wont fit under the hood if i had to guess but it probably rub the radiator. this setup is already tight.

well I don't understand why anyone would want to replace the 8th gen metal ones with celica plastic ones? infact its the other way around....i tried to swap mine out and it was hitting the radiator, granted i have a bigger radiator than stock.
the 8th gen aluminum intake is tuned to 1500rpm using the helmholtz resonance theorys, the celica one is about 3500-4000. it makes a bit less peak hp and torque but broadens the whole powerband. there will be no power drop off. at all. the ecu is limited on our cars before a 1zzfe makes peak hp.
I'd rather keep the aluminum and retune my engine(as I have when my engine died) then stick plastic on it...they used to sell itbs for te 1zz....idk if monkey wrench does anymore...they are the go to guys for performance on the 1zz but it's not cheap @ op....

No vvt-i = no MWR. Gotta have vvt-i to get the good stuff from them. I don't think you realize it but options are severely limited. the plastic manifold/throttlebody and fuel management is probably the best upgrade followed by a rebuild of the bottom end.

The IM is thermoplastic, and plenty resistant to heat. Material doesn't matter as much as flow design in this case. If it were a boosted application, that'd be different.

have you called them? They will custom/retro-fit to a non-vvti free of charge.
Yes I have. Bottom end aside, there's nothing they can do for me. My engine(specifically the head) was only made for two years so tuner attention wasn't focused on it.

They fully rebuilt my non vvti 1zz with all the same parts as a vvti 1zz for ye same price, they just had to mod some parts a little. This was 3 yrs ago now

both the vvti and non vvti bottom ends are the same parts. only difference is the crank vr wheel for the crank position sensor. its timed differently. all corolla/matrix's got forged connecting rods, celica gt/mrs's got lighter cast rods. other than that. its all the same. the difference is all in the head and even then its not much. just a couple of added oil passages for the vvti engines and larger valves for the celica gt/mrs.
