Best way to mount front speakers to door frame?!?!?!

Okay,

So I have had my 2 6 1/2" polk audio speakers in my front doors for about a month now.

I had a crazy hell of a time adjusting all the brackets to fit correctly with the door frame setup, and ended up just dremeling out the old brackets with the old speaker, and adjusting them to use for this.

I now have a problem though: I used sheet metal screws to screw the bracket back in, which most of you know the original way they were connected was with a rivet. Now the screws are coming loose, and it's not a snug fit, and it rattles whenever there's enough bass traveling through the speaker.

I want to rivet it in like the original setup, because that would be the best snug fit to the door frame, and there's no way it could loosen, but the rivets it needs are huge I think, considering those holes are about 1/2" thick (rough guestimate).

I can't find a rivet tool or even rivets that large.

I'm stuck in a dilemma, does anyone have a solution or a better way of doing this?

Thanks!

If you have your old brackets still, mount them to the door with a bolt and nylon insert lock nut, then install the speaker to the bracket with self tapping screws.
