2001 Chevy Prism engine swap ?'s

I have a 2001 Chevy Prism with 150000miles burns about a quart of oil a day (15w 40) its getting kinda spendy. Also only getting 18-21 mpg. I have a 2001 or 2002 cant remember toyota corolla that has 150000 miles on it also i got t-boned so the car is junk, but the motor runs awesome and doesnt burn any oil. Is it possible to swap these motors out? and if so what all would I have to change out on it? ex wiring....

If the engines are both 01-02 then its a direct swap.

You shouldn't be using 15w40 in a car that REQUIRES 5w 30. That's where the bad mileage comes in. And motors are a direct swap.

Thanks for the help!! Ya the corolla is an 02 but shouldnt be a problem then. Been running 15w40 cuz 5w30 goes threw it like water bout 2 days and she is bone dry. I guess if anything I can just run waste oil in it til I dig the corolla out of the snow bank. Thanks again

re

use 10w40 in the winter, 20w50 in the summer, car gets 30 to 35mpg, your poor mileage is probably from low compression not the oil.
