Differences in 2001 and 2002 Prisms?

Hi! I'm new - I want a 2002 Chevy Prism - haven't bought one yet. I'm curious what people opinions are on the differences between the 2001 and 2002 Prisms. I read in a forum post that the engines can be swapped - but according to Consumer Reports the 2002 is far more reliable than the 2001.

Any info or any kind would be helpful. Thanks!

Mechanically, the Chevy Prisms are identical to the Toyota Corollas. If they followed Toyota, the 2002 model year was a carryover year, mechanically and electrically, the 2001 and 2002 are identical.

From what I've read in the news back then, when the NUMMI plant was getting spun up to pump out Pontiac Vibes (Toyota Matrix mechanicals), the remaining late manufactured Prisms in 2001 were sold as 2002 models.
