Can't find valet switch

I have a pre-owned 1998 corolla which had an after market alarm installed before i bought it. Car alarm company is Harada which does not turn up on any results i searched for on the net.

It had stopped working after I had a jump start done about 4-5 years back.
Recently I had to change battery in my car and suddenly the alarm started making intermittent noise and it wont let my car start.
Auto shop guy got the car started after immediately attaching battery terminals so I could drive home and told me to look for a valet switch to disable the alarm.

I have looked under the driver side kick area, glove box etc but cant seem to find this switch. I see the main unit of car alarm installed under drive kick area.

Any help to find valet switch or disable the car alarm will be appreciated.

Is the flashing red LED in another location? On my alarm it serves as the valet switch if you push it. But I have Prestige.

Tell us what color wires you see? Most car alarms can be disabled by unplugging the red, yellow, and black wires from the brain. Take a pic, if possible.

@RoachRolla, LED is on the dashboard and it does not seem to be pushable.

@dward3, there is a thick black wire coming from the LED and transmittor into the alarm brain. I believe it is a two pin plug that goes into the alarm brain - I removed it but it does not have any effect what so ever.
There is also a big pin that is going in the alarm brain but it is partly consealed so i cannot remove it without removing the dashboard and other plastic parts near the steering. There is a reset type hole in alarm brain which i tried to press - again no effect.

I will try to take a picture and post it.

Also, when you say the alarm prevents the car from starting, does it crank but not run, or is it totally dead when you turn the key to start?

Personally, I would take it in to get it checked out by a good installer. Maybe your alarm is just cooked, or maybe its just a blown fuse somewhere. Just take your time. Are you carrying around an 11mm open-end wrench...
