01 corolla

i have an 01 corolla, 98k miles. the exhaust fell off on the road a couple of months ago, got it welded back on, now the exhaust seal is leaking, making rattling noises, and tensioner needs to be changed once again.

Which part of pipe fell off (there are four sections)? They're mostly flanged bolt-on type pipes with gaskets, welding isn't necessary anywhere along that pipe. I don't know who you took the car too but I think you should double check the work that was done.

Rust inside the muffler caused it to swell which in turn caused the bolt on the exhaust strap to snap which led to the muffler falling on the ground, it was drilled out and a new bolt was installed (total cost was $0).

Exhaust seal in the front does have a leak, not exactly sure where as I havent looked because her mother wants "Toyota" to do all the work

Rust, the inevitable enemy of anything metal... -_-

I'm still not sure why anything needed to get welded on though unless you were doing just the cat. Otherwise you've got the muffler which gets strapped to the chassis, bolted to the center piece which has the cat and resonator on there which then gets bolted to the front exhaust pipe which then gets bolted to the exhaust manifold. So basically there are three places for it to leak assuming it's not from the exhaust header itself (no reason for that unless some damage was done there but it sounds like most of your damage was to the muffler).
