So I was busy this weekend

Engine developed an occasional miss. i knew what the problem was. so i pulled the plugs out and no surprise
CYL 1

CYL 2

CYL 3

CYL 4

i've noticed you dont just lose oil to combustion, you lose some to the plug threads as well (I wonder how that happens)

ah well still looks good

As far as I can tell the VCG is holding up fine. When I last changed plugs they came out the same way. And no this didn't take me all weekend. The plugs took 15 minutes. The pictures took a bit longer.

hmm. weird. it does look like oil had seeped into the tube. my miata had similar markings when i changed its plugs recently. i plan on changing the valve cover gasket when i install cam gears, underdrive crank pulley and maybe a new timing belt.

i would get a new valve cover gasket. when i changed my plugs they where covered in oil. when i replaced the gasket it was dried out and cracked. its a 25$ part and it took about 30 min to replace it by myself.

Did you remove your top radiator brackets for some reason too? Or do the pre 2000's not have the brackets on top of the radiator? It looks like the bolt holes are there though.
