lED instument replacement bulbs

I've read all the archived threads on how to replace the 194 bulbs on my kids 2000 Corolla (to which I am greatful) Great threads by the way. Anyway, can someone tell me if they've preplaced the original with LED lights on their instument cluster? If I go to superbrightled.com, I'm really unsure what type to get ( in terms of light coverage). Thanks

Unless things have changed, the problems with LEDs is that they don't dim. So you either get off or full brightness on your cluster.

I bought some blue led's form ebay and they dim, and work great. I will try to find the seller. Coverage wise, they really illuminate the whole cluster

tuukka87, that would be great if you could find the seller on ebay. I would want the lights to dim and not be on 100% full bright all the time. (BTW, blue is the color we're after)

superbrightleds..id avoid. i dont know if you saw my old thread, but i bought quite a few LEDs from them, almost all of which are now dead or flickering. I did the hvac, i think they were 70's, and those were the first to die.
I dont know if thats an issue with high power LEDs, but i wouldve hoped theyd last a little longer than a few months. and its not like im in crazy climate.

ya, I decided to stay away from LEDs and stick to the original 194 with the green covering.

I've had several of mine fail over the years. But in their defense, so have a lot of my filament bulbs. I always order 1 or 2 extras when I order LEDs. I also do that, since the first time I did my HVAC, I dropped a bulb behind the knobs, down into the mines of Moria, never to be seen again. Had to wait another week for another bulb, to finish a simple project. It's funny though, I've had about 3 or 4 go in the last month or so. When it rains, it pours. Thankfully, I've had plenty of spares around!

I've used LED replacements for the bulbs. Never had a problem with them. Can't remember what type of bulb I used but blue makes it hard to see the gauges. I got green LED replacements and they worked fantastic. Another color would be white, it doesn't fatigue the eyes
