How much should this Cost???

I have a driving test in a couple of days, and here are the things need done on my 99 corolla ce:

-2 front seatbelts (old ones were jammed, so hopefully mechanic can find one at a scrap yard)

-left blinker light (old one is dead)

-horn fuse installation (easy, but im not car smart...i bought a new fuse, just need them to install it)

-main light/radio fuse installation (easy, but im not car smart...i bought a new fuse, just need them to install it)

How much am I looking at? I'm going to a local mom&pop shop, so hopefully it won't be too expensive

Most of that is not hard to replace/install - most likely you'll be paying more for the labor that anything else.

A smaller shop will probably charge you one to two hours labor to do all of that - typical going rate for labor is around $80-$110/hr - could be easily $100-$200 job + parts.

An honest shop will probably just charge you for the belt replacement and do the other stuff for very cheap - some places might even do it for free, since it is so quick for them to do. Lots of 8th generation Corollas at salvage yards at this time, so finding one shouldn't be too bad. Depending on what is wrong with the belts - could even get them cleaned / relube the retractors.

My only concern are the fuses - what made them go bad in the first place (assuming that the fuses are bad, not missing). There is no "wear" issues with fuses, they only pop when there is a short in the electrical subsystem. So it is possible there is an underlying electrical problem that could potentially pop those fuses immediately after you replaced them.

Yeah, besides my horn, anybody with just basic car skills could probably fix this. I know that it shouldn't be expensive at all....$100 seems pretty high even, i just dont want to get ripped off.
